Janelle Polak joined the C.A.S.E. family in July 2009 as a Behavior Interventionist. Born and raised in country hills of Jamul, Ca. Janelle moved to Carlsbad in 2006 to pursue a job as a nanny and to soak up some coastal living. In 2006 Janelle graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Sociology. After ten years of working with children in daycare facilities and as a nanny she decided to pursue her Multiple Subject and Special Education Teaching Credentials. She continues to take classes toward earning her Credentials, and plans to achieve a Masters in Education. Working as an Instructional Aide in a Special Day Class for one year motivated her to rethink the setting in which she wanted to work with children on the Autism spectrum, which led her to C.A.S.E. Janelle is very excited and motivated to expand her knowledge of children with autism, and hopes to make great contributions to the C.A.S.E. family.
Janelle enjoys cycling, practicing yoga, running, and playing racquetball. On the weekends she likes riding bikes, going to the zoo, and spending days at the beach with her fiancee and his two children. She also loves to cook, read Jodi Picoult novels, and paint her nails!
